Why do humans have art galleries and museums? And why don’t squirrels? What’s on your mantelpiece? And what’s the oldest thing you keep in your house (apart from my husband, jokes the mayor). It’s been a joy beginning a blog on behalf of Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, getting to know a place, getting behind the scenes to find out the secret stories and passions of the staff. Sparks pop-up

Our Birmingham Sparks group (part of the Writing West Midlands young writers’ talent-stable) gave a fabulous pop-up performance at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (BMAG) where we meet each month. So much inspiration to write! And so much talent! What a combination! And great working with Susan Stokes-Chapman, our new assistant writer.
